I’ve found one! I’ve finally found one!
Found what?
Found a beach near London.
With sand.
Yes, I know all about uber popular beach towns like Brighton and Southend-on-Sea, but that’s exactly why they’re popular; “Towns“. They’re both fun places spots no doubt, but they don’t give you the one thing synonymous with beaches; Sand
At Camber Sands… Well there you go, “Camber Sands“! Enough said.
So Camber Sands is a beautiful beach on England’s South Coast, in-between more popular attractions Dover and Brighton. The beach, whilst not secluded, is far less busy, even in the summer, than some of the more well known beaches nearby. With picture perfect sand as far as the eye can see i.e. to the see sea, and large sand dunes flanking it between the water and inland, it’s quite unique for a beach in the south of the country.

Of course, just because it’s not packed doesn’t mean they’re no amenities available. You have the usual beach bars, cafes, and what-not.
Getting there: Camber Sands is best reached by car. If you want to come by public transport, you’re going to have to get a train to Rye, which you can catch from Ashford International Station (easily accessible from London) and then either catch the 102 hourly bus which go through Camber, or catch a ten minute cab.
