The Ha Giang Loop: Through the Lens – Day 4

Somehow, it had already been three days and nights on the loop. It was time to head back to Ha Giang.

Of course, we made sure to take the scenic route!
For all my money, I’ve never seen anywhere as green as the area we drove through on the fourth morning.
Heading to a “secret” waterfall through what one might mistake for The Shire
The big dawgs get some jumps in
Felt like we’d turn a corner and bump into some hobbits
The Green!
Guardian of the Loop
Yet another iconic view

Yes. TinTin is the best thing ever created.
Genuinely have no clue how some people can just directly face the sun and not make weird close their eyes! (I tried my best and think I managed to open one eye like 5% 😂)
On to the next!
Spotify jam and arms out wide; the Ha Giang Loop in a picture
Accurate video of us and our easy drivers for most of the trip 🤣
Move the slider to reveal what’s got Max so uh… hyped
My guy Congggg!!!!!
On the last stretch 🥲
The best spotify jam sessions ever right here!! 💚🤍🧡

Behold: The most picture perfect view in existence:

No words needed

(I mean… it’s literally my sites home page)

Spreading our wings for one last stretch!
A beautiful damn on the way back to town.

On the last stretch of our drive back to Ha Giang, I let myself be totally immersed in the view and my music, so now, as I’m making this blog, I realised I only have one picture of the last hour or so, and it’s nothing spectacular. What it IS though, is symbolic.

One last picture

The vast and sweeping landscape, with the layering of the different mountains, and the Vietnamese flag in the brilliant sky; It’s not a memory to me: it’s a feeling.

Looking back, I’m not sure I really realised just how amazing what I was doing at the time was. Of course I was having the absolute time of my life, but the extent of it didn’t hit me until I was waving goodbye to my fellow loopers, now in brand new Ha Giang Loop T-shirts, board their sleeper buses across the country.

I hadn’t simply seen incredible vistas with great people… I’d seen it with a family.
