Recently, a social media account called Official Stick Reviews has been going viral and quickly gaining followers across social media. The account premise is quite simple; People find cool sticks, they take a video or picture of/with the stick, and it’s added to the account Insta Stories; or, if deemed worthy, it get’s it’s own post.

The immense popularity of the account tells me one thing in particular:

Humans still love the simple things in life.

It got me thinking: “What about the rocks!?”

Why are we letting the sticks have all the fun? It’s just. not. fair.

So, it’s time I put a stop to it, and gave these awesome boulders, monoliths, and geological marvels their time in the sun.

After all, they… rock 😜

Visit on a day trip from Sofia, or spend a night in the town (Belogradchik) to give yourself time to hike through the nearby rock formations, and see some of the nearby caves.

Bastei Rock Bridge

This magnificent bridge stretches over one of Germany’s most unique natural sites; the Bastei, a group of almost haphazard limestone rocks located in Saxon Switzerland National Park. Actually, the bridge is more magnificent when being viewed from above than from walking it, but the views from the bridge, of the amazing surrounding landscapes, are spectacular themselves.

Saxon Switzerland can be visited by renting a car or taking local transportation from nearby Dresden.
